What do I like about summer?

Well my perfect summer day would involve camping , but not in a tent ( tents are like plastic wrap for Bears ) , in cabin on a lake. Waking up at 7 or 8 am making breakfast most likely bacon and eggs with toast. Relaxing, fishing swimming and play card games or board games with the family. Oh an of course a nice relaxing fire to roast hot dogs and marshmallows in the evening.



I do not like to tomato's a lot, I enjoy them in my BLT or on my hamburger, but to say I love them would be a very big stretch, yet for some reason I like to grow tomato's and the smell of them in the summer. I think Strawberries are my favorite summer time edible. A nice homemade strawberry milk shake on a warm summer day, just can't be beat. I like strawberries on my cereal, plain strawberries, strawberries on angel food cake or strawberries and rhubarb pie :)



I love playing outside with the kids and my loyal and faithful dog Buddy. My Kids are great as a father I could not ask for better kids, each one is special in their own way. I have had several dogs in my life but Buddy is by far the most lovable, cuddly and loyal dog I have ever owned. At night he sleeps at my feet or beside the bed, when I work on my computer he sleeps under my chair. If I am sick he never leaves my side. I often wish every one in the world could be more like Buddy, not that I want 6 billion people following me around, that would be rather annoying especially when I want to go to the bathroom. What I mean is he loyal, caring, faithful and he would harm fly ( okay , actually he would harm a fly, he hates flies and tries to catch them ).







Well, I hope everyone has a great summer, and you able to enjoy it the way you like. Everyone has their own unique ways to enjoy summer, and I think that is great, as it would be very boring if we were all the same. My wife enjoys crocheting, only thing I can do with yarn is make the cat go nuts as I drag it across the floor.

A one-year-old dog is physically as mature as a 15 year-old human and if you have teenagers dogs listen better too.

P is for Penguin

Penguins are cool animals, not just because they live at the north and south poles.


Interesting facts about penguins and me

* Penguins don't fly, they swim. (just like me )
* Penguins lay eggs. ( I cook eggs)
* They are warm blooded like humans. ( I know a few humans that i think might be cold blooded )
* When mothers lose a chick, they steal another mother’s chick. (Stop Thief ! )
* They are mostly found below the equator. ( I want to go to the equator, I like the heat )
* Penguin chicks have fluffy feathers. ( I had an friend Like that, no feather but he had fur )
* Penguins have short legs and no knees. ( maybe they don't have knees due to gambling debts )
* They have good arrangement of bones in hand. This makes them flexible. ( and apparently good at stealing )
* Their knees and upper legs are covered with feathers. ( again remind me of a friend from high school, Man was that Guy hairy)
* They are often black and white in color. ( Remind me of Micheal Jackson )




* When the salt storage completely fills the gland, penguins go to a rock and knock his beak. allowing him to empty the salt. ( like drunks in bars )
* Male penguins take care of their chicks. ( I try to take care of my chick, but when I call her that she bangs her beak on me , hmm )
* In cold places, males balance eggs on their feet and cover with belly flap to keep them warm. ( I knew penguins liked Soccer )
* They bite fiercely to defend themselves and their nests. ( Kind of like a cat I had when I was a kid )
* Penguins use sign language to communicate with each other. ( i thought I saw a penguin give the finger to a whale on discovery channel )
* They make use of their flippers and head to talk to other penguins. ( In england I saw a lady doing that to communicate with another driver )
* They feed on fish, cephalopods and krill. ( Again reminds me of when I was in England if Penguins only ate chips too)
* Penguins swallow their food as a whole. ( If I had to eat the same food every day, I might learn to do that too )
* Giant petrels and leopard seals are enemies of penguins. ( Pittsburgh Penguins rivals would be Philadelphia Flyers, I love hockey )

A father and son hunting Trip

One fall morning a young boy, about 12 years old and his father went hunting, the boys father spots a small gathering of trees and tells his son to stay still and be very quiet, as he goes and checks out what is stirring in the trees.






About 10 to 15 minutes after the father leaves, he hears a blood curdling scream ! He rushes back to his son as fast as humanly possible. He asks the boy what is wrong ?








The boy says.... When the snake crawled across by boots I didn't move or make a sound.





When the Bear was breathing down the back of my neck I did not panic !






But when the two squirrels ran up my pant leg and one said to the other shall we eat them here or take them home, I FREAKED OUT !

Fairies , Pixies, elves and other thing I can't tell apart

My oldest daughter loves fairies ( like Tinkerbell ) not the type you drive your car on to go to an island or the slang name for a certain group of people whom live in San Fransisco. I have nothing against ether of them, today I am talking about the first group.

 

Pixie - They are usually depicted with pointed ears, and often wearing a green outfit and pointed hats (sound like and Elf )




Fairy - Sometimes the term describes any magical creature, including goblins or gnomes ( great more names )

Elf - In early modern and modern folklore, they become associated with the fairies ( ya that helps sort it out )

My wife has a female friend ( a girl friend ) please note guys never call their guy friends boyfriends, unless they really mean it. Any way my wife has this girlfriend that look exactly like a female version of Carrot Top ( the comedian ). First time I saw her, I did a double take as I never seen Carrot Top with breasts before.

I like to joke around with the kids, I told them this year the easter egg hunt will be different. The hunt will be in our back yard, with a catch, all the chocolate will be unwrapped laying on the grass. ( What the kids know and you might not... We have a dog that leaves his own chocolate treats every day for the kids to pickup in our backyard. )

Actors I can't tell apart Matthew Broderick ( Ferris Bueller's Day Off ) and Jon Cryer ( from Two and a Half Men ).

I hope with all this said, you know how my twisted mind works, and I always mean no harm to anyone, just some good humor, or in my case questionable humor. Which leads me to Charlie Sheen.

In related news, the Mustang Ranch will be shut down next Friday for a birthday celebration for Charlie Sheen!
